I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. Although I love North Carolina, I wanted to experience something new upon graduating from high school. I toured Auburn University toward the end of my senior year and I knew instantly that I was home. As soon as the tour ended I walked straight to the admissions office and put down my deposit. A few months later I packed up my car and drove more than 500 miles to begin my new adventure in Auburn, Alabama.
No words from the Auburn Creed ring truer for me than, “I believe in work, hard work”. I have learned the value of hard work during my time at Auburn. As is the case for many students, I did not start college knowing what I wanted to do with my life. It took me until sophomore year to discover that I could take my passion for philanthropy and apply it to a career using my public relations knowledge. I had to take on extra hours and attend summer school in order to complete my major and minor in four years. I have spent more hours than I could begin to count in the library studying, writing papers and working on endless projects. My work has paid off as I am on track to graduate on time with honors.
In my free time I love to read, run and occasionally binge watch shows on Netflix. I am obsessed with animals and plan to rescue as many as I can take care of when I finally settle down one day. I am a nature enthusiast and almost always prefer to be outside. I love traveling and hate to stay in the same place for too long. I am looking forward to the next adventure life has in store for me when my time at Auburn comes to an end.
